Arturo Vidal is set to leave Barcelona for South American giant

Arturo Vidal has been linked with a transfer away from Barcelona.

Over the past few weeks Barcelona have been rumoured to list the Chilean international in their ongoing transfer negations along with other players such as Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic and Junior Firpo to reduce the asking price for their transfers targets.

Inter Milan who were once heavily linked to signing Vidal have stopped pursuing this transfer as their sporting director Piero Ausilio has stated that Inter Milan don’t need to add any additions to their midfield in the upcoming transfer window. However, clubs such as Newcastle United and Inter Miami are still keen to sign the 33-year-old midfielder who has estimated market value of 10 million euros.

According to the Goal, Chilean international Gary Medel has made claimed which that Vidal is in love with Boca Juniors and that the he is keen to play for Argentina club before he retires. Despite Medel’s statement many believe that Vidal might not want to join the Argentinean giants as he will lose out on the opportunity to play in the Champions League in his last few seasons before he hangs his boots.

As things stand Vidal has a contract which keeps him in the Camp Nou till the summer of 2021. The Chilean international is currently focused on winning his ninth successive league title and will review his offers after he finishes this season with Barcelona.

The Spanish giants could try and include Vidal as part of their ongoing negations to sign Miralem Pjanic. Juventus management might consider this transfer as the Chilean international has proved that he can performing in the Italian league by displaying exceptional performances for Juventus helping them win the Serie A title in four consecutive seasons.
