No concern over Lionel Messi missing Barcelona training

Barcelona insists there is no concern over Leo Messi after missed training.

Lionel Messi was absent from Barcelona training session on June 3rd but the club assures fans there is nothing to worry about.

According to Barca’s official statement, the Argentine was at the gym doing special solo training. Many reports had claimed that Barca’s no. 10 was struggling from a problem that would make his presence doubtful for the first La Liga match since the shutdown.

The Catalan giants face Mallorca on the 13th of this month after a long halt caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Fans are expecting to see their beloved first-team stars for this clash as they all have been out of action for a long period and must get back to playing immediately in order to adapt to the changing environment in world football.

The latest reports on Leo missing training brought concern over the Argentine’s health but Barca sources confirm that there was just a different training session planned for him.

"“Messi has come to train at Ciutat Esportiva and has done other types of work. No worries” Sources told Mundo Deportivo."

The club sources also confirmed that Messi has no discomforts or physical problems that would hinder his chances of making an appearance on June 13th. The club have assured fans that their star player is in perfect condition and eager to make a return this month. The gym session was preplanned and did not consist of any special exercise targetting muscle discomfort.
