Barcelona may find it impossible to sign Neymar after PSG’s latest demands.

Barcelona were hoping to bring their former star, Neymar Jr., back to Camp Nou this summer but Paris Saint-Germain’s latest demand makes it impossible.

More from Everything Barca

The many Cules dreaming of the return of one of Barca’s most famous front trio of MSN, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar, might never become a reality after PSG make a shocking demand to hinder all the progress that was made in the negotiations.

The Catalan giants were hoping to secure the winger with the help of player exchange deal as they do not have the financial capabilities to make it a cash-only transfer. Antoine Griezmann, Samuel UmtitiOusmane Dembele and many more, were linked with a move to the Parc des Princes this summer.

The Ligue 1 side are known to be interested in bringing French internationals back to the capital but the players offered by Barca have all been rejected by the Parisiens, despite all of them being French nationals

Sport reports that PSG only want cash payment for their Brazilian star and will not accept any players in exchange. The transfer fee, set by the French club, is a whopping 175 million euros.

The shocking aspect of the deal besides the absurd amount requested is that the PSG are well aware of the current state of the transfer market and the financial crisis at Barca. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has financially impacted the whole football world.

Despite this, the Ligue 1 giants are demanding a hefty transfer fee without the option of negotiating for any player exchanges, clearly indicating that they are not at all willing to let Neymar join the Nou Camp this summer.

The two sides are well aware of Neymar’s wishes of making a return to La Liga but Parisiens’ latest demands of only wanting money after rejecting every player offered by Barca indicate that the negotiations have hit rock bottom.

Barca, however, remain optimistic as communication between the two parties is still ongoing but they have switched their focus over to Inter’s Lautaro Martinez as they near his signing.

Should Barca continue this chase for Neymar or should they use the many talented wingers currently at the club?
