Juan Bernat (Age: 27 | Paris Saint-Germain)

Juan Bernat was targetted by the predecessor to Barca’s current sporting director, Eric Abidal. Roberto Fernandez, during his time in the office, had shortlisted Bernat as the perfect left-back for the Catalans. Juan has reemerged as the potential candidate as his playstyle is similar to that of Jordi Alba. His current contract with PSG expires in 2021 and with the French side currently looking to sign Alex Telles, it could mean that Barca can acquire Bernat for cheap.

Layvin Kurzawa (Age: 27 | Paris Saint-Germain)

Premier League side, Arsenal, and Italy’s Napoli have been keen on securing Kurzawa this summer but Barca have also targetted the left-back on a free transfer as the PSG star’s contract is nearing its expiration. The problem Barca faces with Kurzawa is not only the competition but also his wage demands. The French international recently demanded Arsenal to accept to pay a yearly salary of 6 million euros. At 27 years of age, Layvin does not have many years left in his prime with many who believe him to be past that already.
