Ousmane Dembele has been a total liability for Barcelona.

Ousmane Dembele has been shortlisted by Barcelona over a potential sale. The France international is no longer wanted at the Camp Nou as a result of his off-field antiques which include a lack of discipline primarily, that has seen him miss training several times and become prone to soft tissue injuries, which are caused due to lesser rest than needed.

More from Everything Barca

Barca spent 110 million euros on signing the Frenchman from Borussia Dortmund almost three years back, but he has done nothing to justify the lofty price paid by the Catalans. Dembele’s transfer value has now dropped to 55 million euros and in a bid to cut their losses an run, his club is optimistic about receiving 60 million euros.

Premier League giants Liverpool are the only side so far supposedly to have registered in the World Cup winner. Jurgen Klopp has never worked with the youngster as they were in the Bundesliga during contrasting times, but the German boss still regards the player highly and is willing to unite with him at the Anfield in the upcoming months, Diario GOL claims.

Liverpool may have missed out on the services of Timo Werner very recently but the Reds are determined to land their second choice. However, the La Liga leaders must take note of the fact that their sale of the 23 year old to the eventual Premier League champions could have tremendous benefits on arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will be looking to capitalize

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have both been on the Merengues’ radar in recent months, and they have shown more interest in the Senegalese. One of the two players could be shipped out by the Reds to accommodate a younger player as well as to afford his wages, and the Whites will keep close tabs on the situation.

The African duo is valued at 150 million euros or so each and while that may be a steep increment for any club come the end of the coronavirus depression, if there’s one club that can flex its monetary superiority- it’s Real Madrid. Zidane anyway wants some players this summer and an addition of any of the deadly scorers would be more than welcomed.

Do you see Barca’s sale of Dembele causing a major transfer domino?
