Barcelona scout Rayo Vallecano’s 16-year-old sensation, Fabian Luzzi.

Barcelona closes in on Rayo Vallecano’s Fabian Luzzi as they deem him to have immense potential to be great at Camp Nou.

More from Everything Barca

Marca reports that the 16-year-old has caught Barca’s attention after training under the first-team for the most part of the second half of the current La Liga campaign with Rayo Vallecano. He is also an active member of the Spanish U16 squad and has also been predicted to be the most promising youngster for Spain for the coming years.

At just 15 years of age, Luzzi started training under first-team coach Paco Jemez but is yet to make any appearance having been placed on the bench in two Copa del Rey fixtures.

The report claims that Vallecano want him to remain at Estadio de Vallecas. They are assured that he will be an incredible talent to keep and have requested him to sign a contract renewal but the youngster is yet to give his response.

Barca, however, have started advanced negotiations with the player in order to secure him in his first professional contract. Other Spanish giants such as Atletico and Real Madrid are also interested in acquiring Fabian.

The Real Vallecano striker is not the only one that interests Blaugrana with defender Martin Pascual also being reported as a cheaper alternative to Barca’s center-back issue with Gerard Pique slowly drifting towards retirement at 33 years of age.

Should Barca sign the two talented footballers for the future or give chance to the many La Masia graduates in the current squad?
