Barcelona reveal Luis Suarez’s fate to Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi has been informed about his Barcelona teammates future.

Barcelona have been battling it out in the transfer market for over 1.5-2 years now. Their top priority at the moment seems to be finding a suitable replacement for Luis Suarez.

As per Don Balon, the Catalans will not be renewing Suarez’s contract when it runs out next year. This plan will likely be spearheaded by Joan Laporta who is close to a club return.

One could see him sell of Suarez in order to afford the player wages at the club.

One of his chief targets is Neymar and he has already made that pretty clear. Moreover, Lautaro Martinez is being widely touted as the next Barcelona striker thus replacing Suarez.

Suarez will turn 34 next year and it’s only natural that the club stars looking beyond him. This comes as a matter of disappointment for Lionel Messi who has clicked well with the Uruguayan both off and on the field. However, the Argentinian ace does remain optimistic about reuniting with Neymar.

Martinez is indeed the perfect choice for the Blaugranes as he is one of the best strikers going around and is still pretty young. His maximum potential hasn’t been realised yet and at Camp Nou, he could even surpass the likes of Suarez and if he does reach his max potential, maybe Lionel Messi too.

The Blaugrana should let go of Suarez and not have any second thoughts about it. It’s a right move in all directions and they should also realize the fact that someday, they’re going to have to find a replacement for Lionel Messi as well. And that time is fast approaching.
