Barcelona shows interest in signing Zinedine Zidane’s most favourite
Neymar’s return from Paris Saint-Germain this season seems to be practically impossible due to the current financial strain that Barcelona faces, however, the office at the Camp Nou with every passing day continues to focus on raising their transfer budget to sign Lautaro Martinez.

Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo, and Ivan Rakitic are the possible options that Bartomeu and his officials have considered to sell in order to generate more revenue to sign Martinez from Inter Milan along with a few other required signings. According to Don Balon, the revenue generated through player sales will also be used to lure in another world-class player along with Lautaro Martinez.
The rumour states that the Blaugrana are interested in signing Paul Poga from Manchester United despite being heavily linked to a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu for almost two seasons. Real Madrid was close to signing Paul Pogba this summer as Zinedine Zidane had accepted to manage the Whites once again only if Eden Hazard and Paul Pogba were signed in the summer.
However, Florentino Perez decided to omit the signing of the Manchester United man for reasons unknown. Although Zidane still wants Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba to one day sign for Real Madrid and continue the rich French legacy that prevails at the club, the president of Barcelona may not let that happen.
65 million euros is what Barcelona would have to pay for Pogba
The Catalans would have to offer 65 million euros and above to sign Paul Pogba this summer market since the former Juventus star’s contract with Manchester United expires in 2021 and the club cannot afford to let their record-breaking signing walk out on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old French footballer would be an immense addition the Camp Nou since Paul Pogba can be deployed as deep-holding midfielder due to his physicality and can also play higher up on the field due to his silky touches and long shot capabilities.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would definitely feel the void if Manchester United’s most expensive signing is to leave, however, despite Pogba being injured for most of the season, the Red Devils have performed admirably due to the addition of Bruno Fernandes and the redemption of Fred who was once written off as a flop.
A midfield involving the likes of Paul Pogba, Arthur Melo, and Frenkie de Jong would be a dream lineup for Quique Setien. Arthur Melo and Frenkie de Jong would provide attacking options for Barca meanwhile Pogba would provide stability in the midfield.
If Pogba does sign for the Blaugrana either this summer for 65 million euros or next season as a free agent, it would not only provide Setien depth in the midfield but it would also cause havoc at Real Madrid since Zidane would lose out on his favourite signing.
Would you want to see the former Juventus man make his way to Barcelona either this season or next year?
