Barcelona find themselves in a tight rope due to Real Madrid
The optimistic hunt by Barcelona to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan in the coming summer transfer window has taken a sharp turn after Real Madrid has shown interest in signing the Argentine forward as well.
Despite Zinedine Zidane having Karim Benzema, Luka Jovic, and Mariano at his disposal, the French manager and Florentino Perez have considered signing Lautaro Martinez as a possible replacement for Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid are set to offer Luka Jovic in the swap deal
Diario GOL claims that Real are willing to offer their debutant signing, Luka Jovic, in exchange for Lautaro Martinez along with cash. Inter Milan have made it clear that they would not accept any offer less than the 111 million release clause for their marksman, however, Real Madrid’s current offer might make the Serie A giants think twice.
Unfortunately, Luka Jovic’s dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu has not panned out as the former Bundesliga man and the fans of Real Madrid had thought. The Serbian striker was signed with great expectations after scoring 17 goals in the Bundesliga and 10 goals in the UEFA Europa League, however, the forward has failed to impress Zidane this season. Some may even consider that Zinedine Zidane favours Karim Benzema and that the French forward has earned an undisputable role under the manager.
However, Real Madrid’s current plans may cause major chaos at the Camp Nou since Lionel Messi has been wanting the services of his compatriot since the start of the season. With Timo Werner out of the picture, Lautaro Martinez is the only shot that Barca has at finding a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez.
In fact, former Real Madrid and Inter Milan player, Wesley Sneijder, has even tipped Lautaro Martinez to opt for the Santiago Bernabeu over the Camp Nou. One of the many reasons why the Argentine forward may snub Barca for their rivals would be that Real could offer the player a better contract due to their current financial position as compared to Barcelona and Karim Benzema’s playmaking skills could help the Argentine forward score several goals.
If Lautaro Martinez does snub the Blaugrana for Real Madrid this summer then all hell would break loose and Josep Maria Bartomeu and his team of officials would be in the spotlight once again to receive harsh criticism.
