There have been several ties between Pjanic and Barcelona in the past with the club getting close to land him on several occasions. However, the case seems to be different this time as the 30 year-old wants to leave Juventus and join Messi and co. Or at least, his actions say so.

Juventus and Barcelona get to decide on the eventual transfer, however. The 30 year-old has got a contract with the Bianconeri that doesn’t run out before June 30, 2023. That’s a lot of time left and maybe that’s one of the reasons why he seems to carry a decent price tag with himself. Not to mention, his quality of football is one of the best as well. He joined Juventus back in 2016 and has already managed to get himself a contract until 2023. This speaks a lot about his quality.

Addition of the Bosnian will prove beneficial for the Blaugranes as he will be the perfect person to guide the likes of Arthur and Frenkie de Jong who are relatively less experienced than the 30 year-old. Also, with Rakitic out of the club’s plan for the future, Pjanic and his skills could be seen coming in handy at this point of time.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the financial stocks of Barca have taken a massive hit with the Catalan giants seeing an all-time low in their available budget, in recent times. This makes all the more reason for them to land Pjanic with a reasonable expenditure for the same. If the midfield comes good, a huge load will be off Messi’s shoulders to do the goal-scoring part and Griezmann could free up a bit as well.
