Arturo Vidal Showcases His Worth

The Chilean midfielder took just 64 seconds to show his worth with an opening header to give Setien the perfect start. Vidal is known to have an attacking mindset similar to Barca’s former Brazilian midfielder, Paulinho. It was Frenkie de Jong’s resilience to regain possession and find Alba on the wing to deliver a perfect cross that found Vidal who headed the ball in the back of the net.

Vidal has been impressive for Barca, often chosen over Ivan Rakitic for his tenacity and attacking mindset. This was his seventh goal this season and with close to 80% shots on target having 7 goals of the 9 shots on target this season. The Catalans may have to re-evaluate their intentions of selling the Chilean this summer as he has showcased his worth time and time again.

Sergi Roberto, The Jordi Alba Of The Right Flank

Sergi Roberto was impressive with an improved tactic under Quique Setien. The Spaniard was seen imitating Jordi Alba down the right flank for Barca, connecting with Lionel Messi and Arturo Vidal to break through the defensive line. Roberto was seen running down the flanks to create chances through his crosses.

A right-back at Camp Nou has been a talking point for the next transfer window with many names linked with a move but Roberto’s ability to understand both Setien’s demands and Barca’s philosophy might make him the perfect solution to this problem.
