Barcelona reject a once in a lifetime offer for their star man
Barcelona has squandered what could have been the lifeline offer for them this summer after turning down Manchester United’s 150 million for Ansu Fati, according to Eldes marque. The teenager opened the scoring for Barca in their first game home game against Leganes since the suspension of the league by scoring a beautiful goal which was then followed by Lionel Messi‘s in the second half.

However, let’s talk about the current transfer market and where Barca stands currently after rejecting the 150 million offer for Ansu Fati.
Did Barcelona make the correct decision by rejecting the offer?
Well, it depends on what the club and the board is currently focusing on. If the board’s vision is to build a squad for the future which would be an ideal proposition given the amount of aged senior players in the squad, then rejecting the offer to keep Ansu Fati would be the correct decision since the teenager has shown tremendous potential so far and might be the next big thing in the next few years.
However, the other side of turning down the offer could be considered as a foolish decision as they funds received from the transfer fee could have been used to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan whose current release clause is set at 111 million euros.
Is Lautaro Martinez a priority signing for the Blaugrana? Certainly, as a replacement for Luis Suarez is certainly needed at the Camp Nou. The former Liverpool man himself has tipped the Serie A striker to be the ideal replacement to fill his boots and Barca could have used the Fati deal to sign Martinez this summer.
However, what’s done is done and there’s nothing Barca can do, apart from hoping that Real Madrid drop points today at the Santiago Bernabeu as they face Valencia. If Zinedine Zidane‘s men drop points today then it might just be Leo Messi’s 10th La Liga title in his career.
