Barcelona must act quickly if they want to make a sale for Nelson Semedo

Barcelona full-back, Nelson Semedo, has been heavily linked with an exit this summer but opportunities are quickly fading away with multiple failed agreements.

More from Everything Barca

The Portuguese international has a crucial role to play in Barca’s transfer plans as his sale would greatly benefit the Catalan’s ambitions of capturing the multiple, exciting footballers that are currently linked to a move to Camp Nou.

The player’s failed contract renewal talks with Blaugrana along with their economic crisis that has been majorly impacted by the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic has worsened the situation for Semedo.

The club’s hierarchy have involved the departing star in multiple transfer operations but have failed to materialize a move triggering the possibility that he might stay for another season. This is not the ideal situation as the summer of 2021 will significantly lower Semedo’s transfer value as he would have only one year remaining in his contract.

There are three major transfer operations that involve the 26-year-old with none of them being finalized as one reason or another hinders the finalization of his move.

The clubs that, so far, that have been interested in the services of the right-back are Juventus, Manchester City, and Inter Milan.
