The growing concern of the lack of firepower upfront which was evident against Sevilla has led to Lionel Messi and Josep Maria Bartomeu to devise a cunning plan to snatch Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain either this summer market or in 2021, according to Diaro Gol.

But how is it possible for Barca to pull this off and sign Neymar?

The report from Diaro Gol stated that the captain has advised the board to offer Antoine Griezmann in exchange for Neymar along with cash. The former Atletico Madrid man is ruining his career at the Camp Nou as he was another unwanted panic expensive signing by Josep Maria Bartomeu.

The French international is being fielded as a left-winger on most occasions, a position that he is not very accustomed to and since Griezmann is in the peak of his career, a move away from Barca might just resurrect his career once again.

Lionel Messi believes that the swap deal would benefit both the parties as Griezmann would get game time at Paris and Barca would once again have Neymar in their attack. The Brazilian forward of PSG has proven his success in La Liga Santander and there is no doubt that he will do so again if his former club manages to sign him once again.

Although currently, the bad blood between Barca and the PSG forward continues to grow after their recent lawsuit in which the Brazilian forward has been fined a figure close to 8 million to pay his former club for a breach in his contract when he left for Paris in the summer of 2017.
