Surprisingly, Eldes marque reports that Liverpool has shown renewed interest to sign Ousmane Dembele this summer after losing out to Timo Werner to Chelsea.
How would Liverpool help Barca sign Lautaro Martinez?
Liverpool interest for Ousmane Dembele may be considered bizarre since the former Borussia Dortmund man has been one of the worst signings in the history of the Camp Nou. However, former Borussia Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp, believes that he could help the French forward find his feet once again.
Klopp values Ousmane Dembele highly and is willing to break the bank to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barca this summer. If Liverpool does snatch Dembele this summer for a hefty fee it would be a crucial role for the Catalan club this summer in the transfer market.
Dembele earns a rumoured figure of around 12 million euros per year and has missed over 60 games due to injuries since 2017. The dismissal of Dembele would increase Barca’s transfer budget and wage budget which could then be used to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan instead.
