Barcelona and Real Madrid are keen on signing a budding striker.

More from Everything Barca

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have shown interest to bring the 16-year-old striker Fabian Luzzi to their teams over the next few seasons. Luzzi plays for the under 16 national team of Spain and has been able to play the second half of this season training with the first team of Rayo Vallecano.

After scoring a brace against England in friendly match as well as being able to display great progresses in his performances many believe Luzzi has the potential to develop into one of the best strikers in the La Liga. The young Spaniard has a contract with Rayo Vallecano till the end of June which he has decided against extending in hopes of developing under a bigger club in the upcoming season.

Barcelona lead the race to sign Luzzi

According to the Express, the Spanish giants have beaten Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the race to sign the center forward. Luzzi’s parents are to travel to Barcelona to meet the club’s representatives and finalize the transfer. The striker from Rayo Vallecano might be accompanied by one of his teammates Martin Pascual who is 20 years old and plays as a central defender. Pascual has also been able to develop into a great player over the years and has been on the radar of the 2018- 2019 La Liga champions over the past few seasons.

The Catalan giants have plans to establish a younger squad and have decided against renewing contracts for their older players such as Ivan Raktic and Arturo Vidal. Signing young players over the summer transfer window will give them the opportunity to develop in the club by playing along with some of the best players in the world which will further help them grow into better players who can add value to the club as well as establish themselves in the squad over the course of a few years.
