Barcelona likely to go offer Coutinho to Spurs in exchange for star midfielder
Coutinho and Ndombele are tipped to swap pastures in the summer.
As per Mirror, Barcelona are interested in snapping up Ndombele in a potential swap deal. The player plus cash deal is likely to involve Philippe Coutinho who won’t be staying on a permanent basis at Bayern following his mixed performances at the Aliianz.

Coutinho hasn’t been at his best ever since he left Liverpool back in 2018 and is quite open to a possible return to the Premier League. Coming to Ndombele, he became the Spurs’ record signing when they landed him for £63 million last year. However, his match fitness and form has been a matter of concern for Jose.
Barcelona have been interested in the midfielder even before Spurs bought them and now looking closely at the rumours of a rift between Mourinho and Ndombele, it might just be the perfect time for the Blaugranes to make their move. Ndombele’s arrival will boost the midfield with a significant margin and his defensive capabilities are a bonus too.
However, Coutinho is way more expensive then Ndombele and Barcelona should only consider a player swap if they do desire to bring him to Camp Nou. This is because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic which has caused the club to face their first financial difficulty in a very long time. They should try and negotiate to reduce the sum they’re supposed to offer and even better, get rid of the ‘cash’ part of the deal. Nelson Semedo could be an alternative to Coutinho as well.
Coutinho has had his chances at the club and the time has come for him to leave Camp Nou. Since leaving the Premier League, the Brazilian has been just a faint imitation of the player that Barcelona bought in 2018. However, with the game back in action, interesting times lie ahead and only time will tell us if the Catalan Giants do pounce on the opportunity to land Ndombele.
