Barcelona’s front three have struggled the past two matches. They’ve only managed to score once and that came from a midfielder.

Lionel Messi is the only one penciled in for that front three with the rest being toss-ups.

Luis Suarez has not looked sharp since his return from injury yet has managed to play the entirety of the last two matched despite his poor performance. Antoine Griezmann has yet to settle in and time is not something they have right now. The same can be said about Martin Braithwaite.

Alongside Riqui Puig, the other player who made a difference their last time out was Ansu Fati. When he came off the bench, he added pace and dynamism to a front three that were static and largely immobile.

He is also likely to be in the starting line-up as more often than not, when he is given an opportunity, he produces.

The third and final spot should be up for grabs and it should not be immediately handed to the Uruguayan.

Despite his struggles to embed himself into the side, Griezmann provides movement up front that for some reason or another goes largely ignored by the rest of his teammates. Giving him a shot at center-forward would not be a bad idea. He would give more movement than Suarez and be able to draw defenders away from Messi.

The front three are going to have to step up if Barcelona are to win out all their remaining matches.

Next. Barcelona rack up a world class replacement for Lautaro Martinez for cheap. dark

Setien needs to go on a merit-based system and not be influenced by the names on the back of the jerseys. If he fails to do so, we’re going to see more images of him on the bench, frustrated at his team’s poor play. Drop any more points away at Celta, and that could be the league over for Barcelona.

Expected Barcelona Attack
