Barcelona have been in contact with Inter Milan to sign their young striker Lautaro Martinez over the summer transfer window. The Argentinean striker has scored 12 goals and provided the club with 4 assists in 25 league appearances in addition to being able to provide his team with 5 goals in 6 games in the Champions League this season.
Martinez has an estimated market value of 65 million euros and a contract which keeps him at Inter Milan till 2023 however, due to performing exceptionally well this season and showing great potential to grow as a player the striker has found himself on the radar of many big European clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City who are keen to sign the player in the upcoming season.
Manchester United superstar has been listed as a replacement for Martinez.
According to the Express, The Italian club have decided to list Manchester United’s French superstar Anthony Martial along with a few other world-class strikers who can potentially act as replacements for the young Argentinean who might be on the move away from Italy. Even though as of now no deal has been finalized till now, many believe that the Frenchman won’t be interested to leave the English club and join the Italian club.
Quique Setien must try to sign the young striker before other teams try and lure the striker away from the Camp Nou. The club could try and offer Inter Milan a loan deal for the player with a buyout clause in order to reduce the asking price for the striker who is expected to cost around 100 million euros.
Once this transfer for Martinez is complete the Catalan giants will be able to allocate the rest of their transfer budget effectively in order to sign other players who can replace players such as Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal who are set to leave the club.
