Barcelona have been on the hunt for a quality long-term replacement for Luis Suarez and their prime candidate is Lautaro Martinez.

As per IBT, Barcelona could receive an unexpected help from the Red Devils in their quest to land the 22 year-old. It is believed that Inter is interested in United’s Martial who has been on fire in recent times. It also needs to be mentioned that Martial is the replacement for Martinez that Inter is eyeing for.

Apparently, Martinez has made up his mind about leaving Italy and he has been closely associated with a move to the Camp Nou. In fact, the Blaugranes and Inter Milan have had several talks regarding the possible transfer of the striker but the clubs involved haven’t been able to reach a mutual agreement. However, if Inter do manage to bring in Martial from Old Trafford, it will open up the door for the Catalan giants.

With a replacement for Martinez already in store, Milan wouldn’t mind letting go of Martinez should a suitable bid arrive. Moreover, it would also open up the doors for Manchester United to go after their target in Jadon Sancho while being backed up by funds. Hence this ensures a three-way satisfaction, technically. Barcelona can confide in the fact that Inter and Manchester United share a healthy transfer relationship and that an agreement is expected to reach soon, should the talks between the two clubs begin again.

The other options that Barcelona have on their mind involve Aubameyang, Gabriel Jesus, and Andrea Belloti. However, Messi believes that the arrival of his Argentine teammate could prove to be a major boost for the club and their hopes of winning the Champions League title.

Martinez is indeed a lucrative and a reliable option. Barca should invest in him as he is yet to reach his prime and has already amassed 17 goals this season. Moreover, there would be a great deal of understanding between the Argentine teammates, at the head of the attack.
