Real Madrid ‘s tactical masterplan to steal Martinez from Barcelona

Barcelona’s poor display against Atletico Madrid has given Real Madrid the edge to lift their 34th league title as another win by the Los Blancos would put them well and clear above Barca by four points.

The Catalans now prepare to face Villarreal in the Estadio de la Ceramica. Javier Calleja‘s side has been a force to reckon with this season, after putting on several admirable performances which have seen them sit sixth in the table.

More from Everything Barca

Quique Setien’s future at the Camp Nou has already come under scrutiny as rumours state that the former Real Betis manager has lost his hold in the dressing room of Barca. During the first half cooling break against Atletico Madrid, the lack of team spirit was visible as the players of Barcelona had no regard to what the manager had to say as they continued strolling around the pitch while hydrating, meanwhile, Diego Simeone‘s men had formed a huddle to revise and evaluate their manager’s tactical plans and set up.

The summer of 2020 would definitely see major changes at the Camp Nou. Quique Setien might not continue as the manager as Xavi Hernandez and Pep Guardiola have been linked with a return to put their former club back on the map as champions.

In terms of recruitment, Lautaro Martinez still remains the club’s chief target, however, Diaro GOL reports that Real Madrid has carried out a tactical masterplan to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan in the summer of 2021 by sacrificing Achraf Hakimi.

If Lautaro Martinez is to sign for Real, all hell would break loose at the Camp Nou

Lautaro Martinez has been a prominent figure in Barcelona. The Argentine forward of Inter Milan is highly valued by the board and by Lionel Messi along with Luis Suarez as the pair believes that Martinez has what it takes to lead the frontline of Barca in the future.

Meanwhile, Real are aware of the internal issues that continue at Barca regarding the players showing no confidence in the manager and the board. Florentino Perez has now reportedly decided to add fuel in the fire by stealing Lautaro Martinez who is a wanted figure at the Camp Nou.

The report from Spain states that Zinedine Zidane was willing to sacrifice his favourite replacement for Dani Carvajal for 40 million euros for the bigger picture. The Los Blancos have already sold Achraf Hakimi to Inter Milan and in the summer of 2021, Florentino Perez will offer 80 million euros for Lautaro Martinez.

The proposed deal by Real sounds like an ideal plan for the Serie A giants who have managed to sign one of the most talented full-backs who can even play as a winger due to his attacking capabilities for an absolute bargain of 40 million euros.

If this deal falls through in the summer of 2021, all hell will break loose in Barcelona. In fact, Lionel Messi might even consider leaving the club since he had made it clear to the board that he wants his compatriot at the Camp Nou.

What do you make of Real Madrid’s plan to steal Martinez? Would it actually work? and if yes, what would happen to Barcelona?
