Barcelona miss the opportunity to sign Tottenham’s superstar

Barcelona must sign a world-class midfielder.

Barcelona have decided against renewing Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal contracts as the club has plans to sell the experienced midfield over the summer transfer window. Moreover, Quique Setien might also try to include these players in swap deals to reduce the price for the club’s transfer targets.

The Catalan giants have shown interest to sign many young midfielders such as Eduardo Camavinga, Fabian Ruiz, Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele to replace as well as fill the void of the midfielders who are set to leave the Camp Nou. Despite showing interest in these midfielders the club hasn’t advanced to sign any of these young players and have opted to sign Miralem Pjanic from Juventus who is 30 years old instead.

Ndombele is staying at Tottenham.

Tanguy Ndombele hasn’t been able to adapt to the English league ever since he joined Tottenham in July of 2019 for 60 million euros. The 24-year-old Frenchman has only been able to score 2 goals in 27 games over the course of this season and has found himself on the bench due to a series of injuries as well as lack of trust from the club’s manager Jose Mourinho.

After having an awful season Barcelona and PSG both had plans to try and lure the maestro away from the English side. However, according to the Goal Tanguy Ndombele is set to stay with Spurs in the upcoming season as the clubs manager Jose Mourinho has recently passed a statement in which he stated that he feels that the Frenchman hasn’t been able to adapt to the English league but he has faith that Ndombele will be able to display great performances in the upcoming season and is just going through a rough phase similar to what Luca Modric went through when he first joined Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants must try and sign another midfielder in the upcoming season to remove pressure of Sergio Busquets, Miralem Pjanic and Frenkie de Jong who are bound to be overstretched and overused in the upcoming season.
