Barcelona to sign Napoli’s transfer target to replace Antoine Griezmann

Over the past few days there have been many rumors which have stated that Antoine Griezmann is unsatisfied at Barcelona and that the Frenchman wants to leave the Camp Nou. These reports have further suggested that Griezmann who has an estimated value of around 96 million euros might be on his way to join Arsenal or Inter Milan over the summer transfer window.

The Spanish giants must try to sign a player who can act as a replacement for the Frenchman and also act as a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez who is 33 years old and is playing in one of last few seasons of football before he retires.

Barca could try to sign Victor Osimhen.

The 21-year-old Nigerian international plays for Lille Olympique Sporting Club in the Ligue 1 and has displayed extraordinary performances this season by being able to provide his side with 13 goals and 5 assists in over 27 league games as well provide his side with 2 goals in 5 Champions League games. The striker is expected to grow into to world-class striker over the next few seasons. According to the Goal, Osimhen has received a lot of interest from many European clubs such as Juventus, Napoli, Liverpool and Tottenham who want to sign him over the next few seasons, currently Napoli lead the race to sign the center forward.

Quique Setien could try to sign the Nigerian international as an alternative to Lautaro Martinez who the Catalan giants haven’t been able to sign as the club have a limited transfer budget due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Signing Osimhen over the summer will remove pressure from the attackers in the Camp Nou as well as give the budding striker a better chance to grow and develop into a world-class player as he would attain the opportunity to play alongside superstars such as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
