Manchester United worry Barcelona after showing serious interest
Manchester United have major plans for the upcoming summer as they prepare to seriously contend for the 2020/21 Premier League title after Liverpool have dominated this season in the English top-flight divisions. The Red Devils have several players on their list for the summer and some of them are surprisingly from Barcelona as well.

The English side was first heavily linked with Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019 before the Catalans trigged his 120 million euro clause. With Griezmann out of the picture, United considered Ansu Fati who has been phenomenal for the Blaugrana this season when given the opportunity. However, the board at Barca was not willing to accept any offer for their teenage prodigy apart from meeting the 150 million euro release clause.
Manchester United had no other option but to look at other options in the market and have recently been heavily linked with Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund who would cost approximately 100 million euros or more.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain show interest in signing Messi
However, reports emerging from England now state that United have turned their attention towards Lionel Messi after the Argentine forward threatened to leave the Camp Nou in the summer of 2021 when his contract expires.
Paris Saint-Germain has also shown interest in signing Messi who continues to perform at his very best despite catching up with age. Barca’s crucial victory against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceramica saw Leo Messi rack up two more assists to his name as he has 19 assists this season in the La Liga Santander with four more games to go.
The report also claims that United are willing to go all out for Messi in the summer of 2021 by offering him a mouth-watering contract along with a hefty contract to lure the player to England. The chances of Messi moving to another European club seems to be quite unlikely since the forward on many occasions has stated that he would return to his boyhood club in Argentina.
What do you think about PSG and United’s interest? Will they able to sign Messi? I certainly doubt so.
