Barcelona star reportedly convinced to stay by the club
The past two weeks have been nothing but tempestuous for FC Barcelona. First, the reports of Griezmann being furious with the club emerged and then a bomb of a speculation regarding Messi’s future at the club just proved that the former La Liga champions are in midst of a crisis now.
As per Dailymail, the Blaugranes have decided to show a little more faith in Antoine Griezmann and are in the middle of their efforts in convincing him to stay at the club. It is believed that the French forward had an important meeting with the club officials to discuss the same. Apparently, the Frenchman will not be sold this summer and is set to stay for another season.

The 28-year-old arrived last season from Atletico Madrid for a whooping sum of £108 million but has been a faint reflection of the genius he is or rather, was, when he was at Atletico. The forward has however, shown glimpses of what he can do if he reaches his top form again and the evidence of the same is the beautiful chip goal he scored after having teamed up with Messi. While it does prove that he is a natural playmaker, it seems he is finally starting to get back at his top gear.
Having said that, it must be noted that should Griezmann replicate his past form, he might very well be the one to replace Luis Suarez at the head of the attack. It was believed that Griezmann was going to be the Catalan Giants’ trump card when it came to the negotiations for either of Lautaro Martinez or Neymar. But things seem to have cleared for now and it does seem that the Frenchman might end up staying at Camp Nou even though he endured a turbulent first season at the club.

It must be believed that he indeed has a future at the club because there is no other reason in sight as to why the rumors of his supposed departure from the club has been suddenly quashed. The assurance provided by the Blaugranes was probably strong to restore the confidence the 28-year-old had about his future at Camp Nou.
