The past few weeks in Barcelona have been nothing short of turmoil. The Catalans have drawn three of their last five games in the La Liga Santander that have sparked rumours on several topics including a possible departure of Lionel Messi and the possible sacking of Quique Setien at the end of the season.

Josep Maria Bartomeu first spoke about Lionel Messi’s threat to leave the club and stated the player will not leave the club until the summer of 2021 and that he would personally speak to him
"He has a contract until 2021,” he told RAC1.“We do not explain these things, but we have an obligation to renew it- Josep Maria Bartomeu on Messi leaving"
The president then went on to speak about Neymar who has been wanted by Messi at the Camp Nou for the last two seasons.
"“It is unlikely, due to the economic situation of all the clubs in Europe,” he said."
He also went on to state that Quique Setien will continue as the manager of the club despite all the rumours regarding the uncertain future of the former Real Betis manager. Bartomeu also spoke about Lautaro Martinez who has been a wanted figure this season at the club.
"“We will talk when the season ends. Barca has no dates on the calendar”"
