Manchester United might sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona

Barcelona plan to offload many players over the summer transfer window.

Quique Setien has established plans to sell players such as Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Junior Firpo, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal from Barcelona over the transfer window in order to establish a new squad over the next few season.

Even though many teams have shown great interest in these players no team has been able to sign any of these players from the Camp Nou till now. In more recent times, the Catalan giants have established another approach to sell these players over this transfer window by lowering the transfer fees they were demanding for their players as well as tried to include them in swap deals to reduce the asking price for the for the club’s transfer targets.

Manchester United might sign Ousmane Dembele.

According to Sun, The Red Devils have listed the Frenchman as an alternative to sign if the club aren’t able to sign their primary transfer target Jadon Sancho who is 20 years old and because of his extraordinary performances this season has a valuation of 87 million euros for his transfer set by his current club Dortmund which Manchester United might not be able to pay the German club.

The Spanish giants had signed 23-year-old Dembele for 130 million euros but have been extremely disappointed with his performances for the club, the French international has only been able to score 19 goals and provide the club with 17 assists in 74 matches ever since he joined Barca in the 2017-2018 season. Many reports have also suggested that other English clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool might be interested in the winger who currently has an estimated market value of 55 million euros.

Barcelona could also try to offer Dembele on loan deal with an attached buyout clause similar to the arrangement Philippe Coutinho had with Bayern Munich in hopes to lure the English clubs to sign the winger.
