Barcelona have edged closer to landing Neymar.

Ousmane Dembele is one of Barcelona’s worst experiments in recent times. The winger has managed to find the net only 19 times from 74 outings since his arrival in the club.

As per Goal, PSG are said to be demanding a player plus cash deal for their superstar and former Barcelona player in Neymar. They are demanding a sum around 80 million euros and Dembele in order to acquire the services of the Brazilian superstar.

The Catalans should not have any problems going ahead with this deal as they have looked hard enough for a way to get rid off and offload Dembele, a player they bought for a sum of €105 million from BVB supposed to be a replacement for Neymar. However, the Frenchman has failed miserably at the club; having spent most of his time injured.

This deal is within the limits of FC Barcelona and given their current situation, signing Lautaro Martinez seems highly impossible. They should accept what is available for now as this deal might even convince Messi to stay at the club and not to forget, restore the infamous MSN trio for maybe one last season. The arrival of Neymar at Camp Nou will severely boost the Blaugranes’ chances of lifting both the La Liga and UCL next season; like they did back in 2015.

Coutinho is another player they are looking to get rid off and he has been offered to the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle United. While Arsenal aren’t exactly tempted into buying the winger, they might consider the option of loaning him with the Catalan Giants helping with the wages. Newcastle’s ambition to sign the 26-year-old ultimately depends on the club takeover and if the new owners pass the test posed by the club directors and owners.

At this current time, the Blaugrana should only focus on keeping the morale of the team decent and more importantly, they should give their ace in Lionel Messi another reason to stay at the club, who has been largely frustrated with the team’s performances.
