Real Madrid get their hands on the Bayern Munich man before Barcelona
Real Madrid was crowned champions of Spain last evening after securing all three points against Villarreal, meanwhile, Barcelona put on a weak performance against Osasuna at the Camp Nou which ended in favour for the away side who managed to edge past the Catalans with just 10 men on the field.

The poor performance by the Blaugrana has already sparked rumours in the media regarding a possible departure of Quique Setien who has failed to turn the club around after Ernesto Valverde was sacked midseason.
To add fuel to the fire, Real Madrid has reportedly closed in on signing Bayern Munich’s David Alaba who has been a key target of Barcelona as well.
Diaro GOL reports that Florentino Perez has decided to close in on the Austrian football from the Bundesliga as a gift to Zinedine Zidane for winning the La Liga and to help him build a team that fits his tactics over the summer.
Bild from the Bundesliga reports that the Los Blancos have considered signing a left-back, central defender and midfielder this summer, however, the club would not spend huge sums but would rather opt for cheaper alternative players.
Since Alaba can be deployed as a centre-back, left-back, winger, and midfielder. Los Blancos consider him to be the ideal recruitment and the player is available for just 36 million euros which is an absolute steal given his quality.
Meanwhile, Barca was also eager to sign Alaba as the player has worked under Pep Guardiola in the past and is accustomed to the style of football that is played and demanded at the Camp Nou. Although the Catalans are in a poor position financially, a figure of 36 million euros would do no harm to sign one of the most versatile footballers.
Real Madrid has reportedly agreed to start negotiations once the Champions League ends and Barcelona must do the same or else they would lose out on one of the bargains of the summer.
How do you think Alaba would fit at Barca under Quique Setien?
