Barcelona prepare a suicidal operation to sign Martinez this summer
The need for a striker next season at Barcelona has become evident as Luis Suarez has deteriorated as he is 33-years-old and Antoine Griezmann has been played out of position all season long which severely impacted Griezmann’s output towards the club.

Lautaro Martinez has been the figure that has grown into a personal favourite in the heart of Lionel Messi and the president’s box at the Camp Nou. The Argentine forward has shown his true quality this season under Antonio Conte at the San Siro as he has scored 13 goals so far in the Italian top division.
Martinez pulled off a masterclass performance for Inter Milan in their last fixture against Torino as the 22-year-old scored a goal and provided an assist in the game that ended 3-1 in favour of Inter. However, Barca continues to struggle to meet the release clause of the Argentine despite the new 90 million euro clause after his initial 110 million euros clause expired.
Barca put up seven players on sale to garner the funds for Martinez.
As the cash box or the coffer of Barca remains more or less empty the club has chosen to put players up for sale to garner the much-needed funds to make amends this summer. However, selling players and signing replacements would be an ideal situation as Quique Setien already faces a seriously depleted squad with players past their prime.
However, Barcelona has once again outdone the logical thinking and has reportedly shortlisted seven players to be sold this summer to sign Lautaro Martinez, according to Eldes marque.
The list includes the likes of Neto, Samuel Umtiti, Jean-Clair Todibo, Mousa Wague, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic and Rafinha. The mentioned seven players would be used to garner funds for the summer to sign replacements and to aid in the signing for Lautaro Martinez.
Do you believe that this operation would benefit Barca ? as selling 7 players to sign one striker and a few replacements seems to be suicidal.
