There was massive speculation regarding the future of multiple City stars like Eric Garcia, Bernardo Silva, and De Bruyne, before the Premier League side managed to overturn their two-year Champions League ban after appealing to the Court of Arbitration For Sport (CAS).

Once the ban was lifted, the rumors fell through with De Bruyne’s agent, Patrick de Koster, who had already priorly stated the midfielder’s happiness and desire to remain at Manchester.

"“People asked me all the time if Kevin would leave without the Champions League. Some tabloids are just looking for thrills… Kevin is very happy in Manchester with his family; he; he gets appreciation and plays on good terms” Agent said.Source Sport Witness via HLN – Het Laatste Nieuws"

The Belgium international has a contract until 2023 but the number of clubs interested in acquiring the superstar is endless. Being regarded as one of the best players in world football, De Bruyne has been a vital part of Pep Guardiola’s success in the Premier League.

Europea elites like Barca, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain have all been known to be interested in the 29-year-old with the agent now revealing that the clubs are yet to make contact.

"“There’s always interest in players of Kevin’s calibre, But they don’t call.  They might, huh. I know the people of Barcelona or Juventus, for example, very well. If it really should, then it can go fast. We’ve got the direct contacts. Juventus or PSG – I’ll name just two – know it’s just for now. I haven’t even got any calls in the last few months. Again, we’ve never taken any steps to force an exit.” De Koster revealedSource Sport Witness"

While it is now confirmed that the three clubs are interested, an official inquiry for the player is yet to be placed and while Barca may be interested in the Belgian, they are also known to not have the financial strength to acquire him. Both Lautaro Martinez and Neymar have been already linked with a move to Camp Nou with many claiming that the Catalans can only manage either one of the superstars unless they make a massive sale of players such as Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, and/or Antoine Griezmann.

Should Barca target Kevin de Bruyne instead?
