Inter Milan shock Barcelona with their latest offer

Quique Setien has permitted the players of Barcelona to refresh their energy levels over a one week vacation. Meanwhile, the midnight oil continues to burn at the office of Barca as the Catalans are in the process of formulating plans on how to raise money for the transfer market. If the rumours are true, many reports claim that Barca is willing to sell up to seven players this summer to garner funds.

More from Everything Barca

From the seven possible departures from the Camp Nou this summer, Arturo Vidal has been tipped to be one of them as well. The former Bayern Munich midfielder has turned into a goal-scoring machine this season, Vidal has now scored eight goals in the La Liga Santander for the Catalans despite being played in several different positions during the course of the season.

However, Arturo Vidal‘s best performances were under Antonio Conte at Juventus during the 2012/13 and 2013/14 season. In those two seasons, Vidal helped Conte’s Juventus win the title consecutively by scoring 21 goals in the league over the course of two seasons.

Reports now claim that Antonio Conte wants his former pupil back, however, this time at the San Siro instead. Inter are willing to fulfill Conte’s demand and it is reported that the Italian side is willing to offer just 8 million euros for the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder.

Conte has major plans for the summer after already signing Achraf Hakimi for a bargain from Real Madrid and now the former Chelsea boss has put up several of his star players including Diego Godin on sale to raise funds for his transfer operations.

Should Barca sell Vidal?

Since Vidal’s contract with Barca is set to expire in the summer of 2021, this is the only shot the Catalans have at selling the player for a decent price rather than losing him on a free transfer after 12 months. Meanwhile, the Catalans are also in touch with the AC Milan as well over a possible 20 million euro transfer for Emerson Royal.
