Inter Milan devise a plan to waive off the interest shown by Barcelona

Inter Milan’s goalless draw against Fiorentina has seen Antonio Conte’s men drop from the second position on the Serie A table to the third by just a single point difference between Atalanta. Inter’s boss, Conte, has plans on conducting a major summer overhaul at the San Siro at the end of the season, however, the former Juventus manager and the board of Inter have no plans of letting Lautaro Martinez leave the club for Barcelona this year.

Eldes marque claims that the Italian side has considered offering the player an improved contract as the Argentine forward currently earns 1.5 million euros per season and is tied down at the San Siro until 2023. Inter plans to offer the player 5.5 million euros per season to waive off the interest shown by Barcelona and Manchester City.

Inter’s CEO has also claimed that the player has no intention of leaving Italy before his contract runs out and that the rumours linking Martinez to the Camp Nou are not true. However, Lautaro has spoken out for the first time regarding the current rumours in the media, the player stated that he always gives his best for the club and for the fans who adore the Nerazzurri jersey.

Lautaro has scored 18 goals so far this season with Inter Milan in 41 games and the 22-year-old forward hopes to clinch his first European trophy with the club by winning the UEFA Europa League at the end of the season.

Barca has been longing the arrival of the Argentine forward at the Camp Nou for over a year, however, given the current political unrest at the club with the players and the board, it seems highly unlikely that Martinez would switch to the Camp Nou at the end of the season.
