IVAN RAKITIC
The Croatian midfielder shares a love and hate relationship with the fans at the Camp Nou. Ivan Rakitic has booed and jeered all season long when Barca has played at home and several fans have even dubbed the player to be extremely lazy.
However, Rakitic lately has shown the form that made Barca sign the former Sevilla midfielder. The issue with the former Sevilla man has been consistency for quite some time now. The 32-year-old has stepped up occasionally this season and has proven his worth, however, most games the Croatian is not to be found.
With the addition of the 30-year-old Miralem Pjanic next season at the Camp Nou it would be interesting to see who would Setien field as both the players share the same position. Since Rakitic’s contract is set to expire next year, Barca could consider to cash in on the Croatian this summer as he has been linked with a move to Sevilla and the Premier League.
