Barcelona conduct a 400 million euro operation to safeguard their player

The future of Barcelona has been questioned all season long due to the lack of youngsters in the squad and due to the majority of the first team members being player’s who are near or past thirty years old.

More from Everything Barca

The board of Barca has not been able to tackle or answer the question regarding the lack of youngsters in the squad and their recent operation speaks for itself. Barca traded Arthur Melo who is 23-years-old for a 30-year-old Miralem Pjanic who has just a few years left in his feet, unlike Melo who still has a long way to go.

However, Eldes marque claims that Bartomeu and Eric Abidal have finally understood the grave situation regarding the ageing squad that Setien has to deal with.

The report claims that Bartomeu his right-hand man Abidal, has carried out a 400 million euro operation to protect their young superstar Ansu Fati.

Ansu Fati is a prodigy at the Camp Nou, the 17-year-old has now scored 7 goals in the league in just 11 starts and is only 17-years-old. Barca has a gem in their hands and it all boils down to how well does the club protect and shine the gem they have.

Fati’s rise to fame has seen him being linked with a move to Manchester United who had even considered bidding 150 million euros for the 17-year-old. However, Bartomeu and Abidal have reached an agreement with the teenage sensation as the report from Eldes marque states that Anus Fati’s release clause will increase to 400 million euros next October.

Ansu Fati will turn 18-years-old next season and his release clause will then increase to staggering 400 million euros that would waive off all potential buyers. From all the mistakes that Bartomeu and Abidal have made over the years, the protection of Ansu Fati has been one of the best decisions the incompetent duo has made.

Next on the line should be Riqui Puig who has shown immense potential this season as the midfielder glides past defenders easily and has already shown a sense of maturity with his passing decision making.
