Barcelona could suffer a major setback without plans for it.

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is still making the headlines as far as his future at the club is concerned. The Argentina international has made no secret of the fact that he is completely annoyed with the way the club is being run and took a few minutes to slam the team’s recent displays after their most recent against Osasuna at Camp Nou.

2019/20 will most likely be remembered the worst campaign in the history of Barca as they look on track to close out the campaign without a single piece of silverware. Having said that, they have had two managers at the helm this season already and the future doesn’t look bright even for Quique Setien, who has been at the club for just six months.

Messi is reportedly considering his future at the club and while Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have been touted as clubs who can afford to sign him, Diario GOL reports that Inter Milan continue showing interest in the 33-year-old as well. The Chinese funded club is confident of flexing the financial muscle to match its middle eastern counterparts.

Messi’s father has already taken the next step.

Jorge Messi, the footballer’s father is reportedly present in Milan to meet with the Inter board where he will explore the possibility of his son’s transfer to Italy. While no negotiation has taken place so far, the talks could be in the initial phases to facilitate a blockbuster switch from the San Siro to the Camp Nou.

Having said that, it seems that the forward will be open to leaving as early as this summer for the simple reason that he doesn’t believe it’s right being at a falling club in his final years as a professional. Moreover, his spouse, whose main business is supposedly into fashion, also believes that a move to Milan would be an upgrade, financially and personally.
