Junior Firpo (Age: 22 | Transfer Value (TransferMarkt): 14.5m euros)

The full-back has truly failed to impress despite getting numerous chances to succeed as the ideal back-up to Jordi Alba. Firpo, while talented, has not been able to consistently perform as per what is expected of him, with Inter Milan now requesting his signing as part of the Lautaro deal. Barca are ready to do anything to secure the Argentine international and Firpo’s exit will be least of their worries if they receive Luis Suarez’s successor in return.

Nelson Semedo (Age: 26 | Transfer Value (TransferMarkt): 40m euros)

Semedo has been tipped to leave as multiple clubs have enquired about his transfer. Barca were recently reported to consider renewing the Portuguese’s contract after finding him a permanent spot on the right-flank under Quique Seiten after Sergi Roberto found his on the midfield. However, his failure to consistently connect with Messi has forced the club to consider a replacement with both Inter Milan and Manchester City interested in securing his services.

The 26-year-old is likely to leave on an exchange deal with Barca looking to either include him in the deal for Lautaro or in an exchange with Pep Guardiola’s City for Joao Cancelo. The deal with the Premier League side will only take place if Guardiola agrees to green-light Eric Garcia’s departure to Camp Nou.

Samuel Umtiti (Age: 26 | Transfer Value (TransferMarkt): 32m euros)

Umtiti has struggled ever since his return from his knee injury with fellow Frenchmen, Clement Lenglet, taking over his previously held role alongside Gerard Pique. Setien has attempted to use the former Lyon star but his performance has been lackluster with La Masia graduate, Ronald Araujo, outperforming the former undisputed starter.  Barca are planning to sell the struggling defender for cash while promoting Araujo to the first-team. Meanwhile, the club are also hoping to secure a new center-back to be the heir to 33-year-old Pique, with Eric Garcia being named the favorite.

Jean-Clair Todibo (Age: 20 | Transfer Value (TransferMarkt): 14m euros)

After having a successful loan spell with Bundesliga side, Schalke 04, Todibo is said to leave on a more permanent basis with the Premier League side, Everton and French team Rennes, and Italy’s AC Milan, all being interested in acquiring the youngster. It remains to seen whether Bartomeu considers only loaning the 20-year-old but with reports of securing a new center-back and promotion of promising graduate, Araujo, Todibo’s future may not be at Camp Nou.
