Chelsea are expected to be one of the very few clubs who might enter a spending spree. This marks their first transfer market after the uplifting of their ban; funds are in plenty.

As per Express, Barcelona winger Philippe Coutinho could still prove to be a significant point of interest for Chelsea who have been keeping a close eye on him in case their Kai Havertz pursuit fails. They have already stopped chasing Jadon Sancho.

Barca might do them one better and make it easier for the Blues to acquire the services of the Brazilian. The Premier League giants are looking to loan the discarded player. As it stands, Chelsea need to only pay £9 million to go through the loan deal. The Blaugranes will also look to include a clause in the contract that will allow the Blues to make the deal permanent.

Barcelona are stuck in problems of their own as they need to find a way for their next season, and they need to find it soon. They are currently looking at Lautaro Martinez and Neymar as their prime targets for the summer. Martinez is supposed to be the replacement for Suarez but the Blaugranes are struggling to pull off the deal because of lack of financial strength.

Barca have endured a lot this season with the Catalan Giants on the verge of going trophy-less this season; first time since 2014. Inter are demanding a fee in excess pf £110 million for the Argentine striker but the Blaugranes aren’t willing to pay that much. They are targeting for a fee range of around £65 million and that could include a player as well.

Coutinho is a heavy earner at Barcelona and it shouldn’t be any surprise to know that the Blaugranes want to offload him and free up some funds for the summer. The deal surrounding Neymar looks a highly unrealistic one, but the fate of Martinez’s future could very well lye in the hands of the former La Liga Champions with the player keen to join the club as well.

Barcelona have had a tempestuous season with Messi publicly criticising the team on more than one occasion. The Argentine ace hasn’t signed a contract extension with Barcelona which would keep him post the completion of the 2020-2021 season and it believed the 33-year-old is waiting for some transfers following which he will put the pen to the paper.
