Barcelona haven’t been able to sell the players they have listed.

More from Everything Barca

Barcelona has listed many players who they would like to sell over the summer transfer window. This is because Quique Setien along with the staff at the club doesn’t believe that they would add sufficient amount of value to the squad in the upcoming season.

Despite receiving a lot of interest from many clubs all around Europe the 2019-2020 La Liga champions have been struggling to sell many of their players such as Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal, Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Samuel Umtiti and Junior Firpo over the summer transfer window.

Barca must try to sell Rakitic over the next few weeks.

Many reports have suggested that the experienced Croatian midfielder wants to stay at the Camp Nou till his contract expires in 2021 and leave the club as a free transfer to play one of his last few seasons of football before he retires.

Barca must try and prevent that from happening as the club has a limited transfer budget which has been caused by the outbreak of the Coronavirus and are in dire need to sell their players over the next few weeks to attain sufficient funds to try and sign their transfer targets over the next few weeks. As things stand many believe that Lautaro Martinez can be considered as the clubs primary transfer target over the summer transfer window.

The 2018 world cup finalist who has an estimated market value of 25 million euros has received a lot of interest from teams such as Manchester United, Newcastle, Inter Miami and Sevilla. However, none of these teams have submitted an offer to sign the maestro till now. Quique Setien can try and offer Rakitic on a season long loan deal with an attached buyout clause to increase the interest to sign the midfielder.
