Barcelona could opt to sign a centre forward from France

Barcelona must try to sign a young striker.

Many believe that Barcelona will not be able to sign their primary transfer target Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan over this transfer window due to the inability of the club to source sufficient funds in order to sign the Argentinean striker.

The Spanish giants could try to sign other budding stars such as Jadon Sancho, Wilfried Zaha, Marcel Sabitzer and Moussa Dembele who could help add value to the attacks of the Catalan giants in the upcoming season. These attackers could also act as long term replacement for Luis Suarez who is 33 years old and has a contract which keeps him at the club till 2021, the Mirror has suggested that the experienced striker might join David Beckham’s team Inter Miami in the near future.

Barcelona should try to sign Moussa Dembele.

The 24 year old Frenchman has been exceptional for Lyon ever since he singed for the club in the 2018-2019 season. Dembele has been extremely consistent with his performances and has been able to be a part of 94 games across all competitions over the last two seasons and has helped his side qualify for the round of 16 of UEFA Champions League this season in which his club are playing Juventus. The centre forward has an estimated market value of 40 million euros is expected to grow into a phenomenal player over the next few seasons.

Quique Setien should try to sign the Frenchman as an alternative to Lautaro Martinez and Neymar. Singing Dembele is expected to be a more affordable move that the Catalan giants could make and would enable the club to spend their limited transfer budget to strengthen the other positions in the squad such as their defence as the club has conceded 38 goals in 38 league games in the 2019-2020 season.
