However, the German goalkeeper believes that he is not valued highly by the club as his match-saving performances deserve a better paycheck. Although Ter Stegen may demand a better and improvised contract, Josep Maria Bartomeu has made it clear that it cannot be fulfilled as the club is currently trying to overcome the losses that were incurred during the lockdown in Spain.
Several reports claim that Chelsea has shown serious interest in signing the German wall from the Camp Nou this summer as Frank Lampard has no plans of using Kepa Arrizabalaga next season.
