Signing Napoli’s maestro can help improve Barcelona’s midfield

 Barcelona should try to sign a midfielder over the transfer window.

Barcelona need to add another midfielder in their squad who can play alongside Frenkie de Jong, Miralem Pjanic and Sergio Busquets in the Camp Nou and help the Spanish giants contended for the 2020-2021 La Liga title in a more promising manner. Singing a young midfielder will also help fill the void of Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal as well as act as a long-term replacement for Busquets who is expected to retire over the next few seasons.

Many rumors have emerged that suggest that the Spanish giants are planning to spend their limited transfer budget in hopes to sign Lautaro Martinez and Neymar who can help improve the attacks of the Catalan giants. As things stand, Quique Setien doesn’t seem keen to sign another midfielder over the summer transfer window which might cost them the La Liga title in the upcoming season.

Barca should try to sign Fabian Ruiz.

The Spaniard who has an estimated market value of 50 million euros has been phenomenal for Napoli over the last few seasons and has been heavily linked with a move to both Real Madrid and Barcelona despite having a contract which keeps him with his current side till 2023. Napoli are currently coming 7’th on the Serie A table and have missed out on qualify for the Champions League in the 2020-2021 season, the inability of the Italian team to qualify for the Champions League this season might result in Fabian Ruiz wanting to make a move away from the club over the summer transfer window.

Quique Setien should try to offer Napoli a swap deal similar to the deal which they were able to establish in which they signed Miralem Pjanic from Juventus. Barca could try to offer players such as Ivan Rakitic, Junior Firpo and Arturo Vidal.
