David Alaba

The Austrian international of Bayern Munich has once again proven his worth this season as one of the best footballers in the world. Alaba who is naturally a left-wingback had to play the majority of the season as a centre-back for the Bavarian side due to several injuries. However, Alaba has flourished in his new position and now the 28-year-old has mastered yet another position.

After winning the German double, rumours now state that Alaba has reconsidered his option of renewing his contract with Bayern Munich. David Alaba demands an improved contract that would increase his salary by leaps and bounds, however, the pandemic has limited Bayern’s financial power thus hindering the negotiations between both parties.

If the Bavarian side fails to come to an agreement with the Austrian international, then Barcelona can make most of the situation by signing the player either this year or in 2021 when his contract expires.
