Although Juve were crowned champions of Italy for the ninth consecutive time last night after their defeat against Roma, the Bianconeri have already gotten down to business and are eager to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
Reports from the Eldes marque claim that the Blaugrana and the Bianconeri are negotiating a swap deal that would include Ivan Rakitic and Rodrigo Bentancur.
More information on the swap deal
Since Ivan Rakitic is in the final year of his contract, Barca is eager to sell the former Sevilla midfielder this summer rather than lose the player on a free transfer.
Eldes marque claims that Barca is willing to offer the Croatian international along with 30 million euros to sign Juventus’s Uruguayan international Rodrigo Bentancur.
Bentancur would be a massive addition for Quique Setien since the player is a versatile midfielder who can be fielded anywhere in the midfield. Having said that, Bentancur is 23-years-old and Barca certainly requires younger players as the senior squad is packed with aged veterans.

The Uruguayan international is a relentless presser of the ball and his physical built is a huge plus point since the player contributes massively while defending. Bentancur is quick, skillful, strong, and is a hardworking midfielder who can play in the defense or in the attack.
Although Barca made a mistake by agreeing to the Arthur Melo and Miralem Pjanic deal, however, it rests assured that swapping Rakitic plus 30 million euros for Rodrigo Bentancur will certainly not be a loss for the Blaugrana.
