Barcelona are expected to have a busy transfer window.

More from Everything Barca

Barcelona are at a stage where they have hinted that they have plans to re-establish their squad over the summer transfer window. The Catalan giants have made plans to sell many of their players over the summer transfer window and replace them with younger and more efficient players who can add great stability to the club’s future.

Quique Setien has listed players such as Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo and Arturo Vidal to be sold over the summer transfer window and has been focusing on signing players who can replace these players. Barca have listed the attacking duo of Neymar and Lautaro Martinez as their primary transfer targets. However, many reports have suggested that the Catalan giants will not be able to sign their primary transfer targets over this transfer window due to lack of funds caused by the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

Pep Guardiola has shown interest to sign a player from Barca.

According to the Daily Mail, the Spanish giants have shown interest to sign Sergi Roberto as Pep Guardiola feels that the versatile player will add great value to his team. Roberto has an estimated market value of 40 million euros.

However, this moves seems unlikely to happen as the 28 year old Spaniard has stated that he has no intention of leaving Barca to play under his ex-manager Pep Guardiola as he believes his futures lies at the Camp Nou.  As things stand Manchester City are yet to submit an official offer for the player.

Many experts believe that selling Roberto will help improve the chances of the Catalan giants to sign their primary transfer targets. The Spanish team could alternatively try and sign a world-class defender who could act as a long term replacement for Gerard Pique.
