Barcelona may end up losing a long-term to Real Madrid in the summer.

Juventus winger Paulo Dybala was one of the best players from the last whole season and especially turned up since the restart of football in June. His fantastic efforts in leading the Bianconeri to the summit of the Serie A landed him the MVP Award. With that said, it was all the more for Barcelona and Real Madrid to pursue a move for him.

More from Everything Barca

Dybala has been on the radar of both of Spain’s giants since the last couple of years and it seems like he could genuinely be on the move. The Bianconeri have been severely impacted by the coronavirus in terms of finances and that may signal their need to sell some players, with the Argentina international being a probable outgoing star.

Barcelona have always been hoping that Lionel Messi turns influential in the quest to land the former Palermo winger, but nothing has ever materialized. Diario GOL now reports that Zinedine Zidane is looking to land the 26 year old during the upcoming summer and he has kept the door open to a potential swap deal.

Real Madrid continue to monitor the situation.

A few weeks ago, it was claimed that Real Madrid were ready to offer 40 million euros plus one of Toni Kroos or Isco in exchange of the lethal Juventus forward. However, the rumours were blown away just like that, but it looks like the Merengues continue to be interested in the Argentinian superstar given the likely departures of two players.

Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez clearly have no future at the Santiago Bernabeu and will be on the transfer list. The Whites have plenty of firepower down the left flank, but they are struggling to hold onto goal-scoring right wingers with even Rodrygo Goes having been inconsistent. Dybala would be the perfect addition to their roster.
