Lionel Messi is ready to leave Barcelona as the captain has a new club

The humiliating thrashing by Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League was the nail in the coffin for Lionel Messi’s patience with Barcelona and the board. Earlier as well in the season, Leo Messi had spoken about how the club is on the verge of falling apart after the Catalans technically handed over the La Liga Santander to Real Madrid after dropping numerous points.

More from Everything Barca

The captain of Barca even stated that if changes were not made and if the club continues this way then it is highly uncertain that the club would get past Napoli in the round of 16. However, Quique Setien and his side managed to pull off an emphatic win over the Italian’s, however, their celebrations were cut short after Bayern Munich ran riot by scoring eight goals against them.

To make matters worse, Philippe Coutinho had three-goal contributions as well as the former Liverpool man assisted Robert Lewandoski and scored a brace in quick succession.

Lionel Messi seemed to have been absolutely devasted as the Argentine even refused to attend the post-match interview. This is not the first time that Barca has been knocked out in this manner as the club has been sent crashing out by Atletico Madrid, Juventus, AS Roma, Liverpool and now Bayern Munich year after year.

Leo Messi now wants out and has an offer on his table

Although the media might portray the Argentine forward as a coward for leaving Barcelona, however, that is far from the truth as Messi has given everything to the club and is the pivotal reason behind all the success and glory Barca has attained over the years.

According to Eldes marque, Leo Messi has an offer from David Beckham‘s Inter Miami and the MLS side is even willing to offer the player a mouth-watering salary that could possibly more than the amount he currently earns at the Camp Nou.

Some reports even state that Manchester City is willing to go all in to sign the forward as Pep Guardiola can assure Messi a few more major trophies before he hangs his boots up for good. Guardiola knows how to make the most of Messi and GOAL claims that the Sky Blues are even willing to break the bank.

It all now boils down to whether Messi wants to continue at this sinking ship of a club or should he take on a new adventure at the MLS or the Premier League? Regardless he will be the world’s greatest player and a Barcelona legend.
