Barcelona form a list of untouchable players who cannot be sold

According to the renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona has formed a list of players that will not be sold this summer market despite the interest shown by several clubs. The list includes a set of untouchable players that will continue next season under the leadership of Lionel Messi as captain and Ronald Koeman as the manager.

The poor performance this season has seen several rumours spark over certain players wanting to turn a new leaf in their careers by making a move out of the Camp Nou. Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati, Samuel Umtiti, Ivan Rakitic, and Arturo Vidal have been the players that have been linked with an exit from Catalonia.

However, with the formation of the list of untouchables, it seems highly unlikely that there would a massive alteration to the starting eleven next season under former Everton manager Ronald Koeman.

Barcelona has already dismissed Quique Setien and Eric Abidal as the club plans on a proper revamp over the summer and to restructure the club into a winning project.

Koeman has also expressed his desire towards signing younger players for the senior team and it seems like his go-to option is Donny van de Beek of Ajax Amsterdam to replace Arthur Melo in the midfield. 30-year-old Miralem Pjanic will also shortly arrive at the Camp Nou and the Bosnian will have to compete alongside Ivan Rakitic for a starting spot next season.
