Koeman prepared to restructure Barcelona with three grand signings

Ronald Koeman has a huge task on his hand to transform Barcelona into a winning club after the club has fallen down the pecking order over the last five years. The Dutchman has taken up a project that seems certain to fail, however, the former Everton manager has three signings up his sleeve to restructure the club he once proudly represented as a player.

More from Everything Barca

Koeman has already hinted towards what his plans are with the current aged squad of Barca. Luis Suarez, Samuel Umtiti, Ivan Rakitic, and Arturo Vidal do not make the Dutchman’s plans and it seems like these players will be sold this summer transfer market to garner funds for the transfer market operations.

Unlike Ernesto Valverde and Quique Setien, Ronald Koeman understands that Antoine Griezmann is not a natural winger and that the former Atletico Madrid who signed for Barca last summer for 120 million euros will play in his natural position next season.

The 2020/21 season would see Antoine Griezmann as the centre-forward of the club with Ousmane Dembele on the wings if the youngster manages to remain fit. Lionel Messi has not yet been mentioned as there is no surety whether the Argentine would continue at the Camp Nou next season after being linked with a move out the city of Barcelona.

Koeman’s plan in the transfer market is to sign three players that would fit in the system of Barca rather than signing a superstar that does not fit  his style of football. It is reported that the former Everton manager has drawn up a list of three players including a defender, midfielder, and a striker.

Here is the list of the three players wanted by Ronald Koeman
