Barcelona plan on alienating Real Madrid.

Barcelona are expecting a major revolution in the summer. Lionel Messi is among those who has been linked with an exit this summer and talks of him departing the club are stronger than ever. The dressing room has absolutely lost faith in the board and it’s going to be a difficult one year for Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Diario GOL has now claimed that the Blaugrana are now planning a sly move to ultimately end up hurting Real Madrid, even if Messi leaves. Paris Saint-Germain has been touted as an attractive destination for the Argentina international and there is a high likelihood that the La Liga outfit will ask for Kylian Mbappe if the Ligue 1 giants make an offer.

Josep Maria Bartomeu believes that the arrival of Mbappe could save the club from several ramifications that may be caused by Messi’s exit. Firstly, the France international is being tipped to make a major impact in the sport down the line and perhaps even surpass the numbers set by Messi and Ronaldo. Secondly, Mbappe’s superstar profile makes him a good brand image and extremely marketable player.

Mbappe’s arrival is an unlikely prospect.

For that reason, it is thought that Florentino Perez is hoping that Messi ends up staying at the Camp Nou and in the event he leaves, he goes to another club apart from Paris Saint-Germain. Real Madrid are doing all they can to sign Mbappe and apparently see an inevitable association between themselves and the player next summer.

While there may be an element of truth in the links involving Barca’s probable interest in Mbappe, it’s unlikely to see the transfer going through. The World Cup winner has always dreamt of a move to Real Madrid, and with Zinedine Zidane at the helm in the Santiago Bernabeu, it’s extremely unlikely to see the player join the Catalans, that too without Messi.
